Dhehi
Dhehi - India’s First Martial art film on Kalaripayattu
Seeing kalaripayattu, not as popular as other Martial Art forms, the students of kalari gurukulam came up with the idea of Dhehi. Our goal is to bring this martial art form and its rich culture into the silver screen and spread kalaripayattu across the borders.
Country’s first kalaripayattu Film ‘Dhehi’ is now produced based on the life and achievements of a Kalaripayattu artist and a Kalari guru.
The movie Dhehi showcases how Kalaripayattu is part of our life and how one can elevate the soul by balancing the body and mind. Kalaripayattu is not just a feast for the eyes…..similarly; life of a women is not a showpiece. They carry the sacred feminine power, the female creative energy (prakriti). Film Dhehi will help them to understand and channelize their inner strength.
Dhehi is the life of a girl whose wings are brutally hurt by her society. The world is unpredictable and we girls should be prepared and capable of reacting against any odd situation, is the message of Dhehi for the new generation.
